Summary

"WHO says 1 in every 4 people struggle with mental health. That adds up to 150 million Indians and as one of them, I have struggled with thoughts of suicide for over a decade. But only 10% of us will ever get the mental health support we need due to stigma, lack of awareness and shortage of professionals.

To ensure that all of us can look after our mental health, Muktaa provides free preventive and treatment support for mental health.

Free and anonymous telephonic counselling from trained psychologists
Increasing mental health awareness and literacy in community stakeholders like NGO field teams, police, doctors and public
These services ensure a farmer in rural Maharashtra or a pregnant woman in Bihar feels less alone in their distress."
